Question: WHEN DOES the MESSIAH COME, AND how DOES HE COME?

Question: What is the argument for Prophecy in Scripture? Is it valid? Does it hold up against criticism?
Criticism remains regarding Biblical Prophecy; because ultimately it is a matter of faith; as is the case with the whole of the Bible!
Much is made of the fact that Jesus did not return to Earth soon after His Resurrection; but the answer is in Acts 28:25–28, which is ignored by even well versed scholars, because they refuse to see the main object (at that time), as to why!
Jesus made plain that “He was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel”; and if current Churches and teachers would truly see that meaning, and the origin of Acts 28:28, in Isa. 6:9–10; they would for the first time understand!
The Gentiles did not become first priority in God’s plan until Acts 28:28, which was approx. AD 64, roughly the same time as Paul’s execution!
The Jews will return to their proper place as “Ammi” when the events of Zech.12:10 are in play!
That will coincide with the fulfilment of Romans 11:25–27!
God has striven with Israel’s bad behaviour and disobedience, since almost the time of their adoption as “My Chosen People” (Ammi)! Their descent into “not My people” (Lo-Ammi), was as a consequence of their non-adherence to their vows to God after their “adoption”, confirmed by the “first Covenant”, see Hosea 1&2!
The focus by the early Church on themselves, (all Gentiles) is a consequence of the “Church Fathers” priority not taking into account the above critical points; which was set even harder by the Roman Church with Constantine!
Question: Is Jesus coming soon?
The “soon” is the key to some understanding! Scripture says that “Jesus came at the end of the Ages to deal with sin”, Heb. 9:26–28.
Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.” Hebrews 9:26: “[Christ] has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself”.
The point is that Ages’ is misunderstood; it is for us a very long time, but for God (“a thousand years is as a day” 2Peter 3:8–9).
However, on the point regarding the above quote, people need to look for the definite signs, which all relate to Israel even worldwide upheaval; they are the signpost for the next events!
A firm “fixture” in prophecy is the next Jewish Temple to be built in Jerusalem; which has been in the news recently (not general news, but Jewish news); from that point see the comments of Jesus in Matt. 24, and Daniel's in Chp. 9:22–27 etc.
As regarding your question as to “how” Jesus returns; (Acts 1:9–11) shows the method, IE to the Mount of Olives. There is the statement “every eye shall see Him” (Rev. 1:7)!
